There is a lot you can say in just one sentence, Hemingway was once asked to write a six word story and here is what he came up with:
“For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”

iPhone Here
November 1, 2007
Couldn’t resist the urge to get it, so I took a trip to Diera and got me a brand new unlocked iPhone and it is simply amazing. Within the first 5 minutes I was taken away by the interface, I won’t do it any justice here regardless of what I write. Having said that, it didn’t work with my Etisalat SIM card, but worked fine with my DU card. They guy that sold me the iPhone assured me that all I need to do is get a new SIM card by Etislat and everything would be OK, which I did today but haven’t had the chance to actually use it.
iPhone in Dubai
October 30, 2007
Ever since the launch of the much coveted iPhone in the US I have been patiently awaiting its release here in Dubai. A lot of rumors floated around here pre-Gitex about a possible surprise launch, but that turn out to be the iPod Touch, which is another gadget I would like to have after I get my hands on the iPhone.
Well, it seems it would be at least a few more months before we even could get a launch date here and I have decided to shop around for one of the unlocked iPhones being sold in the market here.
I found a few that had completely unlocked iPhones that work with either Etisalat or DU and I’m very tempted to buy one this weekend. By reading some of the forums, it seems that these unlocked phones are working without a hitch, and in any case, until Apple decides to tap into this region, it is the only way I can boast to my friends about this gorgeous gadget, or should I wait of the Google Phone??
Iraqi Blues
October 30, 2007
“An Arab Woman Blues - Reflections in a sealed bottle…” - One of the better blogs to come out of post “liberation” Iraq. It is written, beautifully, by a 40 something woman caught in this nightmare.
The language is eloquent and the insights into a society that has been smashed into a millions pieces is both fascinating and harrowing for those of us that still live in sheltered bubbles.
